Incident – Single Vehicle MVA
Chief, Engine & Rescue Engine run entrapment.
0710hrs
Hendron was alerted to respond to Krebs Station and Old Mayfield Rd for a 2 vehicle injury accident with possible entrapment. Engine 21, Rescue Engine 23 & Chief took in the run.
First arriving units found similar and went to work assessing patients, vehicles and the best removal strategy. It was determined that the best option was to remove the roof of the vehicle to facilitate the removal of the patient due to vehicle/patient positioning. Crews from the Engine and Rescue Engine quickly put the tools to work to create the space needed to complete removal.
The patient was removed from the vehicle and left in the care of Mercy Regional Emergency Medical Service.
