News – New Rescue Equipment
New equipment for the Rescue Engine arrives.
We recently took delivery of some new air bags and glass cutting saws. The air bags will expand our capabilities in lifting and spreading heavy objects such as cars and farm implements for man in a machine incidents along with extrication. The saws will be crucial in the coming years when all car windows will be required to be laminated glass which will require more effort to remove.
We are always working to expand our capabilities in service. These tools will go into service once the membership is trained on their use. We extend our gratitude to the HFD Board of Trustees in the dedication to the improvement of the department. Also to Finley Fire Equipment Co., Inc. for assisting us with the acquisition of the equipment.
