The membership took training outside to the drill field this week. The topic was ventilation. We practiced a tactic used to cut holes in roofs to relieve buildings of smoke and heat. This tactic allows the smoke and fire to exhaust from the building rather than build inside which increases visibility, decreasing fire spread and aids in creating a survivable environment. The prop used for training was built by the membership using some donated materials. Training is more than watching videos and slides, it takes muscle memory and practice to perfect our trade and we strive to be the best. Fireman Warren lead the drill.
