New Chief Appointed!
Board Appoints Fire Chief
At the last Hendron Fire Department Board of Trustees meeting, held 02/02/2015 action was made toward the decision of appointment of Fire Chief.
At the board meeting the motion was passed promoting Interim Fire Chief Cooper to the permanent position at the department. Fire Chief Cooper will assume the duties of the Office of Fire Chief effective immediately and will be subject to a performance review in 6 months time.
Chief Cooper is a long time resident of the Hendron & Freemont communities. He has been a member of the department since September of 1980 and has served in the department several positions including chief officer, line officer, and firefighter, under several department administrations.
We welcome Chief Cooper to the rank. The department is enthusiastic for the future, the continued dedication to excellence and the progress in serving the community.
